[title]
Since the beginning of March, La Pedrera has hosted an exhibition by Miquel Barceló: 'Tots som grecs'. At the premiere of the exhibition, which covers three decades of the author's work, from the first African works of 1994 to the most recent productions, we had the opportunity to visit it and talk with the Mallorcan artist. What became clear to us is that the entire retrospective – the most complete of Barceló that has been done so far in Barcelona – is an ode to nature and ceramics; If you want to discover it for yourself, you can see it until June 30.
However, the exhibition is not the only activity that Barceló involves. With the 'expanded exhibition' project , the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation has co-created a series of cultural proposals that expand the artist's exhibition beyond Gaudí's modernist building and that offer new perspectives, establishing dialogues with other artistic disciplines. In this sense, La Pedrera has collaborated with the Palau de la Música Catalana to offer a musical proposal.
This is a concert by the French musician and composer, and friend of Miquel Barceló, Pascal Comelade , who will offer a unique proposal: he will present for the first time in Barcelona a format designed for four pianos in which he will revisit his repertoire. He will be accompanied on stage, therefore, by pianists Phil Argeles, Alban Barate and Ivan Telefunken. The concert will take place next June 12 , at 9 p.m., at the Petit Palau, and is part of the Palau Fronteres cycle, a space for experimentation of new artistic formats around music.
Comelade is considered one of the most unique and creative musicians and composers for his music, which stands out for its marked playful and experimental character. Multi-instrumentalist, the Frenchman's music is characterized by being avant-garde but without forgetting his roots.
The ticket to the concert, which can be purchased through the Palau website for a price of 25 euros, includes entry to the exhibition 'Tots som grecs' at La Pedrera.
